Organization, not a concept established by God

i was dwelling over a discussion going on at jw-archive.

the old topic of the legitimacy of the gb and the concept of centralized organization.

despite what the wt claims, there are a number of examples in the new testament of actions and decisions taken without direction or even the awareness of the elders in jerusalem.. despite whatever other evidence jw may have about the organizational tendencies of god (namely the creation, universe, whatever else they usually bring up), the concept of an organized nation never originated from god.

According to the Bible, God gave man the power of choice and free will. Man chose to

break that relationship and has been trying to find his own way by inventing religion and

cults of all kinds in an effort to replace that void left by lack of relationship with

his creator. Of course this may be true if you believe in the Bible.

The God of the Bible invented man and man invented religion.

Genesis 2;24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother (who was Adam mother and father)

and joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh in the Church, KH, Temple,synagogue or

something. Come on folks, don't you think an all knowing God would have foreseen the problem.

Mini-beauty pageant at the Regional Conventions, I guess this is the only time to sport their

new outfits.

Is there a large audience for a child beauty pageants? WTH..

DJS I have grand kids and it's scary when you look at our education system.

Lets see, 80 % of high school students graduate from HS, yet 1/2 of those

students are not ready for the next level. Fewer than 40 % graduating seniors have

mastered basic reading and math. It may no be in the toilet but it is ready for a flush if

we don't do something.

"Are you final arbiter on all things or just our education system"? Did you notice I ask" how

do you folks feel about BP. If there is a topic I don't like I ignore it, very simple.

I'm sure this is not the case with all contestant, but one can become shallow and over

confident. Contestants should try to keep a straight head about it and use it

to build good qualities.

Also I believe focusing on physical beauty can be bad for younger children and child beauty pageants,

well while the whole eduction system is in the toilet here in the US as the interest of the child is

diverted to some irrelevant beauty pageant.

How do you folks feel about Beauty pageants???

What was your ''the last straw that broke the camels back'' moment

by RULES & REGULATIONS in

there is a limit to how much straw (long yellow grass) a camel can carry on its back.

if you keep putting more straw on top, it will finally break the camel's back.

when you are at the last straw you are finally angry and will not take any more.. my moment (to stop attending all watchtower meetings) was after the harsh treatment from the elders and fellow congregation members of my second cousin who was disfellowhipped as a teenager.

At my sister funeral, I walked right up to all my JW family members and reach for there hands.

They were dumbfounded but a funny thing happen, each one began to talk to me. My

sister husband (elder) talked about his health problems, my nephew(elder) wife whom I have never met

greeting me with a big smile. It was fun, I made them greet me are they would have looked like

fools in front of the other none witnesses guest. My brother I grabbed him, hugged him and told him

I love you.. HE looked like Don Knotts , standing there shaking.

Paradise is going to suck!

once you really start thinking about it, the whole paradise idea is kind of depressing.

i remember growing up as kids my sister was the first to tell my parents (admittedly very courageously) that she wasn't sure she wanted to live in paradise, it sounded boring living forever.

i thought she was dumb for thinking that, i mean playing with lions!!!!

I wonder will there be paying jobs in paradise, who in the hell is going to work

an 8 hrs. job for nothing. The days working at the world HQ in paradise will be over,

who in the hell will work an 8hrs. day for nothing when other folks are sitting around

playing with lions.

OK friends lets be honest, if a Nuclear Holocaust took place today how many of you would return to the KH?

From the comments from you folks there is no way in hell you will be walking

into a KH soon, it will take an appearance by Jehovah and they may not be enough for

The Watchtower is not invincible

despite claims to the contrary, there's no guarantee the watchtower will be around in a few decades time.

and it seems to me there's ever mounting evidence that the opposite may well be true.

but it's not just that recruitment is down and their defectors are up.

The God of Watchtower is invincible. It's hard bring down an all wise all

knowing, invisible God that only communicate with all knowing 8 or 9 cunning GB

members.

I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or anything, but this is the 5th end of the world

I've survived. Hell the GB is as confused as Jehovah when the end will come. I'm sure

Jehovah is saying, STOP IT you folks got me all mixed up.
